CLASS GUIDELINES
At Patapsco Middle School, we inspire all students to become life-long learners and responsible citizens. Our ESOL students are expected to:
GRADING POLICY
Letter grades are assigned according to the county's grading policy.
90-100= A 89-90= B 79-70=C 69-60=D 59 and below = E
Classwork and Participation: 40%
Participation in class is very important when learning and improving your English language skills. Remember that mistakes are part of learning and everyone makes them. Your contributions to our class will be highly valued by us and by your peers. Be sure to actively participate and complete all assigned work in class.
Tests and Projects: 30%
Tests will focus on the unit just covered and will be announced at least once week prior. A study guide will be provided. Projects will be completed at home.
Quizzes: 20%
Quizzes will look very similar to the work that you do every day in class. There will be no surprises.
Homework: 10%
Homework will be collected at the beginning of class. Be sure to complete homework assignments.

- Be Respectful! Respect yourself, others, and all school property.
- Be Responsible! Follow rules, turn in work on time, and do your part to make ESOL class a positive learning environment.
